to top it off: something make a situation go really bad in very little time
when it rains it pours: when something can't get any worse

night owl: someone that stays up late at night
take the bull by the horns: to face up a problem without being afraid

eat crow: to be humilliated

a blessing in disguise: something thought to be bad end up being good

cheer up: become or make someon happier
cut down. reduce the amount you take/use something
face up to: accept that a problem exist
open up: talk about how you feel
slow down: start doing something less fast
work out: do exercise to get fit
